Just in time for back to school, Evo Car Share, Vancouver’s newest car sharing service, added 100 more hybrid, four-door cars and expanded its Home Zone further west to the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus, south to 49th Avenue near Langara College and east to Boundary Road. Evo’s expansion included doubling its fleet to 500 with new Evo cars rolling out now and in the coming months. To celebrate its latest Home Zone expansion, Evo hosted a number of events  to kick off the school year and participated at the UBC-sponsored Alma Mater Society (AMS).

The goal of the campaign was to create a branded environment that encouraged students to engage with each other on campus and online. For the first two weeks of school, Evo hosted welcome week bbqs, concerts, photo booths and games with special "student only" offers. Along with on the ground promotion, Evo expanded its social media engagement through Instagram contests and sharing community photos with hashtag #evocarshare.

According to a recent poll conducted with over 200 UBC student Evo Members, Evo is a time and money saver for the budget conscious, time-starved student looking for a more spacious car share vehicle.
